Renee Gerstman is an attorney, mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator with 40 years of experience in business transactions, real estate, construction, corporate matters, contract, and commercial and business litigation. Renee has arbitrated and mediated all types of disputes ranging from small consumer matters to large and complex commercial disputes and multi-party construction defect claims.
Experience
As a lawyer Renee has over 30 years experience in litigating, negotiating and documenting commercial transactions, construction disputes and real estate matters. As an arbitrator and mediator she has handled commercial arbitration of all sorts including, without limitation, shareholder and partnership disputes, mergers and acquisitions, financing relationships and disputes, uniform commercial code matters, business torts, manufacturing and distribution contracts, franchise disputes, intellectual property, employment, cannabis, construction disputes and defect litigation and real estate and title disputes.
Work History
Immediately after law schook I clerked for two judges on the Arizona Court of Appeals Division One . After that I joined the law firm of Evans, Kitchel & Jenckes in Phoenix, Arizona. The firm disbanded in 1989 and I joined a small law firm for a couple of years. In 1991, I opened my own solo practice focusing on litigation and transactional work for small and medium sized businesses. I grew that firm with various partners for over 20 years. In 2014, I stopped handling active litigation matters on an advocate to focus on developing anarbitration and mediation practice. I continue to represent clients in transactional matters or as outsdie general counsel supervising litigation or other counsel.
