I mediate and arbitrate technology and life sciences disputes arising from intellectual property (patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights) and commercial, R&D, collaboration and IP license agreements.
Experience
With over 30 years on AAA, ICDR, and JAMS panels, I have handled more than 75 US-based and international arbitrations, including many matters involving Asian and European companies under various international arbitration rules.
Work History
I joined JAMS in 2020 after a career in private practice and as panelist with AAA/ICDR. Before joining JAMS, I was a senior partner at Proskauer, where I was member of its Executive Committee and co-chaired its 200-person Litigation Department and its IP Litigation practice group. While I was in practice, Chambers USA annually ranked me as one of Boston’s top-five IP trial lawyers and SuperLawyers thrice named me as one of Boston\"s Top 100 lawyers.

Education
I earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from MIT in electrical engineering and computer science, with a biomedical focus. I started my legal career as a law clerk to Judge Philip Nichols, Jr., at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, in Washington, D.C.

I am an IFR-certified private pilot. I split my time between the JAMS Boston office and Florida.
