CCA Best Practices: Lessons from International Arbitration
How do international and domestic arbitration practices differ, and what can practitioners learn from those differences? On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, College of Commercial Arbitrators Fellows will explore these questions in a 90-minute webinar hosted on Zoom by JURIS Conferences.
“CCA Best Practices: Lessons from International Arbitration” will feature several CCA Fellows. Drawing on their extensive experience, the panelists will discuss practical considerations at each stage of the arbitral process, including:
- Arbitrator disclosures in international and domestic practice.
- The arbitral seat, governing law, arbitration administration, and cost allocation.
- The level of detail needed in pleadings.
- Document production, witness statements, non-party evidence, and protective orders.
- Tribunal-appointed experts, tutorials, and “hot-tubbing.”
- Written testimony, confidentiality, and evidentiary hearing procedures.
- Awards and post-award issues.
The discussion will highlight topics and techniques from The CCA Guide to Best Practices in Commercial Arbitration (Fifth Edition), offering practical insights to help practitioners make informed decisions. Attendees will have an opportunity to submit questions during a live Q&A with the panelists.
The program qualifies for 1.5 hours of New York State CLE credit, transitional and non-transitional, in the Areas of Professional Practice. A certificate of attendance will be available upon request and may be used when applying for credit in other jurisdictions.
