CCA Fellows are invited to join their colleagues for a brown bag lunch featuring a lively discussion about the use of AI in drafting awards and other arbitral tasks. This picks up on the news of some cases (i.e. the LaPaglia decision), and other developments on the use of AI by arbitrators and the AAA’s recent announcement of the use of AI for rendering reasoned awards (reviewed by a person) in small, documents-only construction cases. Is it inevitable that cost savings will compel widespread use of AI in organizing documents, analyzing claims and drafting reasoned awards?
If time permits, we might consider how disparities in arbitrators’ use of AI may lead to billing issues..
Please contact Jonathan Fitch for the Zoom details.
