Experience

Mr. Bunim has conducted over 50 arbitrations as a sole arbitrator and as a member of three person tribunals and principally as tribunal chair. He has also mediated over 500 cases. His arbitrations and mediations have primarily involved the insurance industry and issues of coverage and liability. He has also arbitrated general breach of contract disputes, computer software compliance, partnership dissolutions, family business corporate disputes and health care industry business disputes. Most of the arbitrations were venued in New York and New Jersey and also in Illinois, California and in London.

Work History

Prior to becoming a full time alternative dispute resolution professional in 2005, Mr. Bunim was an associate in the litigation department of O\"Melveny and Myers, a managing partner at Ohrenstein and Brown, and an insurance litigation partner at Robinson, Silverman, Pearce, Ahronson and Berman, which became Bryan Cave in 2003.

Training

Mr. Bunim was first trained as a mediator by CPR in 2005 and as an arbitrator by the American Arbitration Assn. and has participated in training yearly since 2005, under the auspices of the New York State Bar Assn., the American Arbitration Assn., the New York City Bar Assn., ARIAS, and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. Mr. bunim has also taught training courses through the various Bar associations and the AAA.
