Independent Arbitrator since 2010. Previously, I was a coporate lawyer and the managing partner of the Moscow office of Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells), and I resided in Moscow for 20 years. I arbitrate commercial and corporate disputes in English or Russian.

Experience

I have arbitrated more than 25 cases in Sweden, Moscow, Kyiv and New York. Half were conducted in Russian. I have served as tribunal chair, party-appointed arbitrator, sole arbitrator and emergency arbitrator.

Cases

Matters have included contract interpretation, shareholder disputes, employment issues, real estate, construction defects and damages, tariff issues, breaches of representationa and warranties in acquisition agreements, insolvency issues, supply contracts, aircreaft leases, franchise agreements, consulting agreements, oil field drilling agreements.

Training

I have attended many AAA/ICDR and other CLE programs focused on arbitration. In addition to being a Fellow in the College of Commecial Arbitrators, I am a Fellow in the Chrtered Institute of Arbitrators.

Miscellaneous

I am also an independent mediator. Most of my mediations have involved court appointments. I am a Special Master at the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, and I am on the panel of mediators at the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court. Several of my mediations have involved international parties and issues such as the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards, the effect of sanctions, insolvency issues and claims of fraud.
