Commercial litigator for 34 years before appointment to the Minnesota Court of Appeals (2000) and Supreme Court (2002). Upon returning to private practice in 2008, devoted substantial part of my practice to arbitration and mediation, primarily in commercial and employment cases of a wide variety, in Minnesota and throughout the United States.

Experience

As a litigator, handled complex commercial cases in state and federal courts. During this time litigated numerous cases in arbitration and also acted as arbitrator in several commercial cases. As an appellate judge, ruled on dozens of commercial cases, including contracts, franchises, insurance, securities, employment, and related matters. Since returning to private practice, have been selected as arbitrator in dozens of commercial and employment cases, about half in Minnesota and half across the country .
