CCA is a Platinum Sponsor of the 2020 ABA-DR Section Virtual Conference

CCA is pleased to be a Platinum Sponsor of the 22nd Annual ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Spring Virtual Conference, and is proud to have many Fellows contributing to the programs and presentations over the course of the event.

The ABA Dispute Resolution Section’s 22nd Annual Spring Conference will be virtual this year due to the COVID-19 situation. The Virtual Conference runs May 18-22, 2020 and offers 16.25 hours of live and recorded CLE programs on arbitration, mediation, negotiation and other topics.

The theme for the May 21 sessions is arbitration. Several Fellows are presenting programs that day: Gary Benton, Ty Holt, Ed Lozowicki and Deb Mastin will present “Special Powers of the Arbitrator”. The panel will discuss: the broad range of remedies available in arbitration; limits on the arbitrators’ authority to fashion remedies; and best practices for invoking special remedies. And Jim Madison plus Law Professors Kristen Blankley, of University of Nebraska, Ron Aronovsky of Southwestern Law School, and Maureen Weston of Loyola University will present their Annual Arbitration Law Update on 2019 U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Circuit Court and California Appellate case law affecting arbitration.

The Virtual Conference will also have group discussions, social hours, chat boards, and networking accessible from a computer or mobile device. Fellows can tune in live or watch recorded programs during the conference or for one year after the event. Fellows and their colleagues may register for the conference at ambar.org/drvirtual. The registration fee is a fraction of the cost of an in-person conference. The conference agenda and registration form are available at: https://www.americanbar.org/events-cle/mtg/web/399477735/.
